Visit to Navagraha Temples in and around Mayiladuthurai

I started from Chennai around 1600 hours IST in a nice A/C car. Our plan was to reach Karaikal and stay there for the night. On the way we saw Maduranthakam Eeri Kaatha Ramar Koil, Panchavati Ramar Koil. To avoid waste of time in taking food in hotels, it is better to carry food with as far as possible.
Next day morning at 0600 hours IST we started from Karaikal and went to Thirunallar Saneeswarar temple. There is small Perumal temple behind this Saneeswara Temple, that also can be seen. Then from there Keelaperumpallam-Kethu temple and Thiruvenkaadu-Budan temple followed by Vaitheeswarankoil-Chevvaai temple. In between half an hour has to be spent for taking morning breakfast. Then we went to Thirumanacheri temple near Kuttalam. This temple has seperate sannathi for Raaghu. Here we can break for lunch. By this time it will be 12 noon. The temples in this district will close and reopen only by evening 1600 hours.
So after lunch we can travel to Thingalur-Chandran temple which is close to Thanjavur city. From here we can see Swamimalai-Murugan Temple, Aalangudi-Guru temple, Thirunageswaram-Ragu temple and if possible Uppiliyappan Temple in Thirunageswaram.
We came back to Karaikal and stayed there. Again next day morning we started at 0600 hours visited Ananthamangalam-Hanumaan Temple, Thirukadaiyur, Suriyanaarkoil, Kanchanur-Sukran temple. We have to sacrifice traditional morning breakfast and satisfy ourselves with Coffee, bread and biscuits. On return from Kanchanur we can see Chidambaram temple and have lunch there and proceed towards Chennai. On the way we can see Thiruporur-Murugan temple, Asta Lakshmi temple and Aarupadaiveedu Murugan temple in Besant Nagar and return home.
For eight people to go in a Tata Sumo A/c car it may cost around Rs. 9000/- plus cost for stay plus cost for food and water.
Travel during day time and take complete rest in the night.
